Marvel Super Heroes preview season hit full speed this week, and the set is everywhere: Thor, She-Hulk, Jane Foster, a hammer almost anyone can swing, and a wave of Commander legends that already look format-relevant. The side stories kept pace. A leaked Hatsune Miku Commander deck sold for $10,100 before WotC admitted it exists, Modern's May unbans sent an old hate piece up 333%, and WotC confirmed Marvel will ship late across five regions, making it the fourth Magic set in a row hit by delays. Let's get into it.

Marvel Super Heroes Previews Are in Full Swing
The June 2 debut opened the gates and the reveals have not slowed down. This week brought The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster, The Wondrous Wasp, Red Hulk, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Okoye, the Cosmic Cube, and a clean three-damage red sweeper in Avengers Disassembled. New mechanics include Equip worthy, Power-up, and Teamwork, with Boast and Sagas returning. The early talking point: Mjölnir's "equip worthy" clause asks for a legendary, non-Villain creature that's red and/or white, which describes 1,812 existing creatures, from Krenko, Mob Boss to Squee, the Immortal to genocidal villain Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. The full gallery lands by June 12, Arena and MTGO on June 23, with Prerelease June 19–25 and paper release June 26. Read more →
Marvel Super Heroes Is Magic's Fourth Delayed Set in a Row
WotC confirmed that production and shipping problems will delay Commander Precons, Bundles, Jumpstart Boosters, Welcome Decks, and Collector's Edition products across North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Latin America. Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and Prerelease Packs are still on track for the June 19–25 Prerelease, but some delayed products will not arrive until after the June 26 release, and WotC calls the timetable "fluid." Wargamer notes this is the fourth Magic set running into shipping trouble back to back, the same packed calendar we covered when WotC revealed its next three sets in early May. Read more →
A Leaked Hatsune Miku Commander Deck Sold for $10,100
Before WotC announced anything, an unreleased Hatsune Miku Commander deck surfaced on eBay and closed at $10,100. In the same window, the Secret Lair Hatsune Miku planeswalker (a reskin of Elspeth Tirel) climbed from roughly $33 to over $100 on the secondary market. The deck still has no official announcement, so treat the contents as rumor for now. The price action is real either way. Read more →

Do Marvel's Missing Heroes Hint at a Midnight Suns Set?
Marvel Super Heroes is not WotC's first comics crossover and it will not be the last. Sleuths digging through this week's reveals noticed which characters are conspicuously absent and think the gaps point to a future Midnight Suns set, with as many as six Marvel crossovers rumored in the pipeline. Nothing is confirmed, but the omissions are pointed enough that the theory has legs. Read more →

Shuri, Wakandan Inventor Turns Artifact Fodder Into a Value Engine
Every uncommon creature in Marvel Super Heroes is legendary, an unprecedented move, and Shuri, Wakandan Inventor is the one most likely to break containment into Commander. Her activated ability copies an artifact and ignores the legend rule, so cheap fodder like Ichor Wellspring becomes real value, and chase pieces like The One Ring can be duplicated despite the legend rule. Add an activated-ability doubler and her passive artifact discount, and a two-mana uncommon starts looking like a build-around. Read more →
EDHREC Reads the Tea Leaves on Eluge, the Shoreless Sea
EDHREC's data series broke down what's rising and falling in Eluge, the Shoreless Sea decks, the mono-blue commander that flood-counters your lands and casts one big spell a turn at a steep discount. Top inclusions include Wavebreak Hippocamp and Finale of Revelation, and the hot picks lean into expensive instants and sorceries that Eluge makes affordable. Useful tech if your pod has a thalassophobe. Read more →
Seven Precons in Six Months and Counting
EDHREC's Too-Specific Top 10 used its precon ranking to make a sharper point: WotC has already shipped seven Commander precons this year, six months in, on pace to blow past 2025's thirteen. The piece walks the best individual precon cards while flagging how the firehose of product, now $50 standard and $100-plus for Universes Beyond, has changed how players buy in. Read more →
