Odds and Ends is an Esper (white, blue, black) Secret Lair Commander Deck led by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. It goes on sale September 28, 2026 for $149.99. Odds and Ends is a ready-to-play 100-card Commander deck from Secret Lair, with 12 foils featuring new art by Ricardo Cavolo. Nearly every nonland card has an odd mana value (58 of 63), so Yennett's attack trigger usually hits. Card selection like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm and Ponder lets you set up the top card before you swing.

Bracket 2. We checked all 100 cards against the current Game Changers list and found none. The deck also has no mass land denial, no extra turns and no two-card infinite combos. Esper Sentinel and Sensei's Divining Top are valuable reprints, but neither one is a Game Changer. One rule-zero note: Void Winnower stops every opponent from casting even-mana-value spells, which can feel harsh at a casual table.

Yes, if you want Esper Sentinel and Sensei's Divining Top reprints and a deck that feels splashy from game one. Probably not as your first Commander deck: $149.99 is five times a standard precon, and the deck slows down badly if Yennett keeps getting removed.

Cutting Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth has a bonus: it does nothing in Esper and sells for about $18.

Start with the five budget swaps (about $2.66), then add Toxic Deluge (about $4.48) and Anguished Unmaking (about $1.46). That is under $9 for more card selection, a real board wipe, flexible removal and an extra counterspell, and the deck stays in Bracket 2. For the general method, see the Precon Upgrade Playbook.

Bracket 3 (up to three Game Changers). Add Vampiric Tutor, Mystical Tutor and Enlightened Tutor. Each costs 1 mana and puts the card you pick on top of your library, which is exactly where Yennett reveals. Tutor for Profane Transfusion at the end of an opponent's turn, attack, and cast it for free. Cut Wayfarer's Bauble, Soothsaying and Weathered Wayfarer to make room.

Bracket 4 (no Game Changer cap). Now you are tuning for power. Add Rhystic Study and Necropotence for card advantage, Bolas's Citadel to play cards off the top of your library (the same spot Yennett cares about), Imperial Seal as another 1-mana tutor to the top, Cyclonic Rift and Teferi's Protection for interaction, and Mana Vault and Chrome Mox for speed. To end games, Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact wins on the spot. Most of the slower 7- to 9-drops come out.

Bracket 5 (cEDH). The card rules match Bracket 4. What changes is that you are building to win tournaments: free counterspells, every fast mana piece and the tightest combo. Our take: Yennett is not a cEDH commander. A 5-mana commander that has to attack before it does anything is too slow for that table. Odds and Ends lives best in Brackets 2 to 4.

Monday, September 28, 2026 at 9 a.m. PT (noon ET) on the Secret Lair store, for $149.99. The order window runs 24 hours and closes Tuesday, September 29 at 8:59 a.m. PT (11:59 a.m. ET).

Is Odds and Ends made to order? When does it ship?

Yes. It is printed to demand, so every order placed during the 24-hour window will be filled. A limited number of copies ship right away. The rest are expected to ship around July 2027 in North America and August 2027 in the EU and UK, and Wizards calls those dates estimates.
