Why are there seven Standard sets in 2026?
Because Universes Beyond went Standard-legal, the crossovers stopped being side products and joined the main release track. Seven Standard-legal releases in one year is the new cadence, not an anomaly: in-universe plane sets carry the story while TMNT, Marvel, The Hobbit, and Star Trek carry the licenses, all into the same format. The practical effect on your wallet is real, which is why we publish buyer's guides per set instead of telling you to buy everything.
