Reality Fracture does something no set this year has: it ships six Commander precons at once, and five of them are built for people buying their first deck. Here is every deck, its face commander, the first card we would add, and which one to buy.
Updated October 7, 2026: MSRP and street prices added for all six decks. Every deck below links to its full upgrade guide with 5 best cards, 5 budget picks and what to cut.
Reality Fracture precon MSRP is $29.99 or $49.99, and five of the six decks cost more on October 7
Wizards set the Reality Fracture precon MSRP in its buyer's guide on September 8: $29.99 for each of the five Foundations Commander decks and $49.99 for Multiverse Reforged, the Jace deck. All six released on October 2. Five days later, Keen Engineering is the only one selling at that price.

Keen Engineering is the value pick on these numbers. Its TCGplayer market price on October 7 is $28.90, about a dollar under MSRP, and Commander EV counts $52.67 of singles in the box at Scryfall prices. PreconForge logged the same deck at about $47.08 on September 19 without naming a retailer, so the fall to $28.90 in under three weeks is two snapshots from two sources, not a trend line.
Tramplesaurus Rex is the opposite case. It sells for $54.69 on TCGplayer, $24.70 over MSRP, and Card Kingdom lists it at $54.99 and out of stock. Multiverse Reforged is $57.90 on TCGplayer and $59.99 at Star City Games. Draftsim's A.L. Walser recommends the Jace deck at or close to MSRP and is out if the price climbs toward $100.
The MSRP still exists, mostly on sold-out pages. Atomic Empire lists Reign of Dragons at $29.99 and To the Table lists Multiverse Reforged at $49.99, and both were unavailable on October 7. Wizards' delay notice lists both product lines as partially delayed in North America and has not been updated since September 28. If you are not in a hurry, those sold-out MSRP listings are the argument for waiting, and none of the pages checked gives a restock date. Treat every street price here as a snapshot rather than a floor.

What makes the five mono-color decks different
The five $29.99 MSRP decks are Foundations Commander Decks, designed and priced by Wizards for players new to the format. Mono-color means simple mana, clear game plans, and the cheapest upgrade path in Commander: no dual lands to buy, so every upgrade dollar goes into spells. If one of these is someone's first deck, our Precon Upgrade Playbook already covers the universal 15 cards that fix any precon for about $8, and mono-color decks can skip the mana-base section entirely.

Multiverse Reforged: the Jace deck
The $49.99 four-color deck is the set-story product, led by Jace, Multiverse Architect and built around swapping creatures. It runs 28 nonbasic lands, and its new cards include a mono-white Ob Nixilis, a mono-black Avacyn and a colorless Omnath. Reviews are split: Wargamer called it one of the worst precons in years, while our upgrade guide found five of our ten original picks already in the box. Expect Echoverse flavor throughout, tied to the set's Echoed Pairs mechanic and the color-shifted planeswalkers.
Which one should you buy?
New to Commander: Tramplesaurus Rex, the most beginner-friendly of the six and, at $54.69 on TCGplayer on October 7, the most expensive of the five Foundations decks. Keen Engineering is the only one at MSRP. Tribal fans: Calling All Angels (30 Angels) or Wretched Ranks (28 Zombies). Tinkerers: Keen Engineering, the most complex of the $30 decks. Story fans and collectors: Multiverse Reforged. Whichever you pick, the budget upgrades cost under $5, and our Precon Upgrade Playbook covers the rest. Key dates: prereleases ran September 25 to October 1 and the set released October 2. Wizards' delay notice, last updated September 28, lists both the Reality Fracture and Foundations Commander decks as partially delayed in North America and Latin America and delayed in Japan. The rest of the year is on the 2026 to 2027 release calendar.

Reality Fracture precon prices come down to four questions
What is the Reality Fracture precon MSRP?
Wizards lists two MSRPs in its Reality Fracture buyer's guide, published September 8, 2026. Each of the five Foundations Commander decks is $29.99, and Multiverse Reforged is $49.99. Retailers are free to charge more, and on October 7 most do.
What is the Reality Fracture precon price right now?
TCGplayer market prices on October 7, 2026 run from $28.90 for Keen Engineering to $57.90 for Multiverse Reforged. Between them sit Wretched Ranks at $42.22, Reign of Dragons at $45.76, Calling All Angels at $47.88 and Tramplesaurus Rex at $54.69. The five Foundations decks sold as a set are $189.00 on TCGplayer, which is $30.45 less than the five bought separately at those market prices and $39.05 more than five decks at MSRP.
How much does the Jace Reality Fracture precon cost?
The Jace deck, Multiverse Reforged, has a $49.99 MSRP and cost more than that at every in-stock retailer checked on October 7, 2026. Star City Games lists it at $59.99, the TCGplayer market price is $57.90 with a lowest listing of $56.50, and Card Kingdom is asking $74.99 for its one remaining copy. GameStop and Miniature Market also list $59.99, and both are out of stock.
Where to buy Reality Fracture precons
Wizards points buyers to local game stores, TCGplayer and Amazon. On October 7, 2026, Star City Games shows Multiverse Reforged in stock at $59.99. The retailers still listing MSRP are sold out: Atomic Empire for Reign of Dragons at $29.99, To the Table for Multiverse Reforged at $49.99. If you want MSRP, a local game store is the remaining place to ask, since Wizards' delay notice tells buyers to check with retailers for availability.
