Tramplesaurus Rex is the mono-green Commander precon shipping with Reality Fracture on October 2, 2026, priced at about $30. Wizards published the full decklist on September 18, 2026: the commander is Ghalta, Primal Hunger, and the deck is big trample creatures. This guide covers what the deck is, whether it is worth buying, the 5 best cards to add, 5 budget picks under $5, the $10 upgrade plan, and the stock 100 with the exact cards to cut. Updated September 25, 2026.

What is the Tramplesaurus Rex precon?

Tramplesaurus Rex is mono-green stompy led by Ghalta, Primal Hunger, a 12/12 trampler that costs less for the total power of your creatures. The plan is what the name promised: mana creatures (Llanowar Elves, Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Tribe), big bodies (Gigantosaurus, Carnage Tyrant, Elder Gargaroth, Terrian), draw off big power (Garruk's Uprising, Rishkar's Expertise, Elemental Bond) and team pumps to finish (Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth). It has 11 Dinosaurs counting Ghalta, so it leans Dinosaur without being strict tribal. Our pre-release read held up.

Is Tramplesaurus Rex worth buying?

Yes. This is the most beginner-friendly deck of the six. Green ramp is easy to understand, the threats are obvious, and trample means your big creature does something when it attacks into a wall of tokens. Skip it only if you already own a green stompy deck.

Stock or upgrade?

Fine stock for casual tables. Green ramp into big tramplers works straight out of the box, which is why it is the best first deck of the six.

Lands to fix first

Tramplesaurus Rex has 39 lands, 32 of them Forests. Only two lands always enter tapped: Tranquil Thicket, which our cut list already removes, and Mosswort Bridge, which is worth keeping because a stompy deck turns on its free spell easily.

The rest of the problem is colorless lands. Our cut list already takes out Scavenger Grounds and Witch's Clinic, and one more swap is worth making.

  • Cut Bonders' Enclave → add Castle Garenbrig (about $9.00): taps for green, and adds six mana for creature spells later, which casts your biggest dinosaur a turn early.

  • Already in our cut list: Tranquil Thicket comes out for Ranging Raptors, Scavenger Grounds for Nature's Lore, and Witch's Clinic for Three Visits.

  • Keep Mosswort Bridge, Rogue's Passage and War Room; they help a deck of big creatures close games and refill.

That is about $9 in total, and it is optional; the stock mana already works. Prices checked October 12, 2026, cheapest non-foil printing on Scryfall.

5 best cards to add to Tramplesaurus Rex

The archetype guess held. Four of our ten original picks were already in the box (Beast Whisperer, Rishkar's Expertise, Garruk's Uprising) or are the commander (Ghalta), so those four were replaced. None of the five below is in the stock list, and each one replaces a specific card named in the cut list further down. Prices are the cheapest printing on Scryfall as of September 25, 2026.

  1. Craterhoof Behemoth (about $23): the finisher every green creature deck ends with. Replaces Arachnogenesis.

  2. Old Gnawbone (about $49): a 7/7 flying trampler that makes a Treasure for every point of combat damage. Replaces Arasta of the Endless Web.

  3. Three Visits (about $6): two-mana ramp that fetches a Forest untapped. Replaces Witch's Clinic.

  4. Guardian Project (about $13): draws a card whenever a creature with a new name enters, which is nearly every creature in the deck. Replaces Scrapshooter.

  5. Heroic Intervention (about $9): hexproof and indestructible for your whole board, the answer to the wrath aimed at Ghalta. Replaces Collective Resistance.

5 budget upgrades under $5 for Tramplesaurus Rex

Every card here costs under $5 for its cheapest printing as of September 25, 2026. The five together run about $4.24.

  1. Return of the Wildspeaker (about $1.44): draw off your biggest creature or give the team +3/+3, at instant speed. Replaces Regal Imperiosaur.

  2. Sakura-Tribe Elder (about $0.33): a blocker that becomes a land. Replaces Pugnacious Hammerskull.

  3. Nature's Lore (about $1.92): a Forest untapped for two mana. Replaces Scavenger Grounds.

  4. Ranging Raptors (about $0.37): a Dinosaur that fetches a basic land every time it is dealt damage. Replaces Tranquil Thicket.

  5. Snakeskin Veil (about $0.18): one mana to give Ghalta hexproof and a +1/+1 counter in response to removal. Replaces Yeva, Nature's Herald.

How to upgrade Tramplesaurus Rex for $10

Start with the Precon Upgrade Playbook: fifteen colorless cards, six cut rules, and a ten dollar mana base that work on every precon ever printed. Then make the five budget swaps above, about $4.24 in total. The exact cards to take out are in the decklist section below.
