Next Secret Lair Drop: 2026 Schedule, Prices and How It Works

The next Secret Lair drop is the Odds and Ends Commander deck, a Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign precon Wizards says is coming "in a few weeks" in a 24-hour order window, with no date or price confirmed yet as of September 25, 2026. The most recent release was the Masters of the Universe Superdrop on September 14, at $29.99 non-foil and $39.99 foil per drop.

Every date and price below is checked against Wizards' own announcements. Anything Wizards has not confirmed is labeled that way.

Odds and Ends is next. In his September 1 Checking Back In with Secret Lair update, Secret Lair lead Matthew Hodgins said Wizards will "sideboard, shuffle, and run it back in a few weeks" with Secret Lair Commander Deck: Odds and Ends, using the same 24-hour limited order window as the Miku deck, "with an initial print run backed by our promise to fulfill every order." The store lists it as Coming Soon. The face commander is Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, and the full list leaked after wrong-deck shipments. Draftsim puts its reprint value at roughly $300, led by Esper Sentinel and Sensei's Divining Top. Unconfirmed: the on-sale date, the price (the last two Secret Lair decks were $149.99) and the final card list.

KPop Demon Hunters is the other one everyone is waiting on. Hasbro confirmed it for 2026 on its Q3 2025 earnings call, and nothing since: no date, no card list, no art. With the year running out, a Q4 reveal is the obvious read, but that is our guess, not an announcement. We track every confirmation in our KPop Demon Hunters Secret Lair guide.

Five drops at $29.99 / $39.99, with bundles at $149.95 (all non-foil), $199.95 (all foil) and $334.99 (everything). Every $149 spent adds a foil Swan Song promo while supplies last. The playable highlights: Winota, Joiner of Forces as He-Man, Tinybones, the Pickpocket as Skeletor, a full-art textless Sol Ring in the She-Ra drop, Sword of War and Peace as the Sword of Power, Throne of the God-Pharaoh as the Bone Throne, and a double-sided Command Tower. Comicon's launch coverage called the stock limited, so if a drop you want is still listed, do not assume it will be there next week.

Eight drops: Artist Series Ian Miller, Featuring Gene Luen Yang, Cosmic Chill by Robin Eisenberg, Lofi Girl: Beats to Cast To, and four Marvel drops (Earth's Mightiest Pets, Hulk SMASH!, Dan Hipp, True Believers in Love). The bonus was a foil Command Tower for every $199 spent. The Commander pieces people wanted, per The Cardboard Chronicles, were Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, Animar, Soul of Elements, Grave Pact and Training Grounds.

Four drops at $29.99 / $39.99 plus the foil-only He Who Walks Unseen at $59.99. Every $199 spent earned a promo Arcane Signet as "Heart of the Mountain." Smaug's Spoils is the value drop: Sol Ring, Lightning Greaves, Thought Vessel, Fellwar Stone and Liquimetal Torque. Desolation carries Diabolic Intent and Defile; Second Breakfast and Beyond is seven Food tokens. $149.99, sold in a 24-hour window from August 10 at 9 a.m. PT. The face commander is Trostani, Selesnya's Voice as "Miku, Song of the People," with Archangel of Thune and Aetherflux Reservoir among the reprints. Before the deck was even announced, a sealed copy shipped to a Goblin Storm buyer by mistake and sold on eBay for $10,100, which we covered in the May 25 to 31 issue. Goblin Storm (May 18) sold out in 34 minutes despite a one-per-customer cap, dragging Goblin Lackey and Goblin Recruiter up with it (our May 17 to 23 issue). Cats Are The Best (June 15) reskinned Rin and Seri, Inseparable as Garfield and Odie (our Garfield Secret Lair coverage). The Stardew Valley Superdrop (July 27) introduced a brand-new land and a first-time reprint of Dawn's Truce, announced at MagicCon Amsterdam. Secret Lair is Wizards' direct-to-consumer line. Drops are small themed sets of cards, usually five, sold only on MagicSecretLair.com and not through game shops (a few non-foil editions, like Stardew Valley, reach WPN stores later). Here is the model in 2026:

The rules do not change: a Secret Lair reprint is the same card as its original printing, and a Universes Beyond reskin plays under the original card's name and rules text.

For a 2026 Superdrop, expect your order to ship within days of the sale and arrive within about three months at worst. Wizards' production and shipping status page lists each drop with a US shipping window: Masters of the Universe ships September 30 to December 30, 2026, A Perfectly Normal Superdrop is shipping now (September 2 to December 2), and the Hobbit Superdrop has been shipping since August 19. EU and UK orders run roughly a month behind.

Two catches. The Secret Lair shipping FAQ says an order "can take up to 3 weeks" to ship after the estimated release date in your confirmation email. And Commander deck orders past the initial print run wait much longer: Hatsune Miku preorders are estimated for May to August 2027. Wizards has admitted the shipping rollout "hasn't been perfect," with reports of damaged and missing parcels. If your order mixes release dates, choose split shipping at checkout.

Only when you would pay for the reprints anyway, or you love the art. Add up what the cards cost as singles and compare it to the $29.99 or $39.99 price. Three patterns decide most of it:

When is the next Secret Lair drop?

The Odds and Ends Commander deck is next. Wizards said on September 1 it would arrive "in a few weeks" in a 24-hour order window, but has not published a date or price. KPop Demon Hunters is confirmed for 2026 with no date.

What time do Secret Lair drops go live?

9 a.m. PT (noon ET) on the sale date, on MagicSecretLair.com. A virtual queue opens an hour earlier at 8 a.m. PT, and joining it early is the only real advantage on a hyped drop.

How long do Secret Lair drops stay on sale?

It depends on the product. Commander decks now sell in a 24-hour window, and recent Superdrops sell in limited quantities while stock lasts. Wizards does not publish one standard window, so check the product page.

How long does Secret Lair shipping take?

2026 Superdrops have started shipping two to three days after sale, within a three-month US delivery window; EU and UK run about a month later. Commander deck orders beyond the first print run can take much longer: Miku preorders are estimated for May to August 2027.

Are Secret Lairs worth it?

They are worth it when the reprints are worth more than the price. Commander decks like Goblin Storm and Odds and Ends clear that easily. Art-only drops rarely hold value, so buy those because you love them, not as an investment.

What is a Secret Lair Superdrop?

A group of Secret Lair drops released together under one theme on the same day. Each drop is sold separately, usually at $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil, with bundles and a bonus promo card for hitting a spend threshold.

What is the Secret Lair bonus card?

A free promo added to your order for every set amount you spend on a Superdrop, while supplies last. In 2026 that was a foil Swan Song per $149 on Masters of the Universe and a foil Command Tower per $199 on A Perfectly Normal Superdrop.

Are Secret Lair cards legal in Commander?

Yes. Secret Lair reprints are the same cards as their originals, and Universes Beyond reskins play under the original card's name and rules. New cards, like the Stardew Valley land, list their own legality; that one is legal in Commander, Legacy and Vintage.
