Hatsune Miku Commander Precon Leaks Early, Miku Divine Diva Spikes to $70
Hatsune Miku has had four dedicated Secret Lair drops in MTG to date. Now a fifth is on the way, and it leaked early. Three cards from an upcoming Hatsune Miku Commander precon have surfaced ahead of any Wizards announcement, and the secondary market is already moving. Miku, Divine Diva, a reskin of Elspeth Tirel from the Hatsune Miku: Electric Entourage Secret Lair, has spiked to $70 in the days since. The release timeline and full decklist remain unknown. A Goblin Storm Buyer Reportedly Got a Leaked Hatsune Miku Deck Instead
The same Miku leak surfaced through one of the strangest shipping mix-ups in recent memory. A fan who ordered the Goblin Storm Secret Lair Commander deck appears to have received the leaked Hatsune Miku product instead. Wargamer is also reporting that Wizard of Barge, the artist behind the Goblin Storm deck, said publicly that they couldn't get a copy of their own deck and encouraged fans to proxy it. The Miku product that turned up by mistake is reportedly listed on eBay with asks above $2,700. Read more →

PSA Pauses Value Tier Submissions on June 2 After a $200M Investment Tripled the Backlog
The biggest collector-market story this week is a supply squeeze. PSA announced on May 28 that it is pausing its four Value tier card grading submissions starting Tuesday, June 2, until it can halve its current backlog from roughly 10 million cards to 5 million. The trigger was not Magic demand specifically. PSA cites a May 14 announcement of a $200 million investment into the company that caused a 20% submission spike, adding 1.6 million cards to the queue in two weeks. The headline in the Star City Games coverage notes the pause is "pressing pause on most Pokémon cards." Existing submissions are unaffected, and higher service tiers remain open at $79.99 per card (over triple the $24.99 Value Bulk price for Collectors Club members). Read more →

Lucky, the Pizza Dog Becomes the First Marvel Commander to Get a Full Deck Tech
EDHREC's Commander of the Week spotlight this week is Lucky, the Pizza Dog from Marvel Super Heroes. Lucky wants Dogs, Cats, Heroes, life gain, and +1/+1 counter payoffs. The article calls out District Mascot for artifact removal and counter scaling, Undergrowth Leopard as a colorshifted Cathar Commando without flash, Keeper of Fables for ongoing card draw, and Tanuki Transplanter for attack-trigger ramp. The article notes that Heroes as a creature type is thin in current Commander but expected to expand once Marvel Super Heroes drops. Read more →
Is Solemn Simulacrum Still a Commander Staple in 2026?
Card Kingdom Blog ran a retrospective on Solemn Simulacrum, the four-mana ramp artifact creature that has been a Commander default since its 2003 Mirrodin printing. The article notes Sad Robot now sits in 12% of Commander decks on EDHREC, down from "basically every deck that wasn't able to play Wood Elves". The piece points to lowering average mana values in modern decks as the main reason for the decline. Read more →
Avatar Commander Tui and La, Moon and Ocean Demonstrates Near-Infinite Card Draw
MTG Rocks broke down a card-draw engine in the Avatar: The Last Airbender Commander Tui and La, Moon and Ocean. The build leans on cheap mana-dork enablers like Relic of Legends and Paradise Mantle, repeatable untap effects (Octopus Form, Shore Up), and big card-draw payoffs (Chasm Skulker, Psychosis Crawler). Useful as a brewer reference for anyone playing a tap-untap commander. Read more →
