Gods of Asgard is one of the four Marvel: Darkhold Destiny Commander decks. It is red, green and white (Naya), its box features Thor, and it releases April 9, 2027. Wizards revealed the decks at New York Comic Con in October 2026. The colors and themes come from the product packaging. The face commander and decklist are not revealed yet.

All four Collector's Edition surge foil decks on Amazon, $639.96. Amazon does not sell the Gods of Asgard Collector's Edition on its own yet.
Release day is April 9, 2027. Local game stores and TCGplayer are taking preorders too.
How will Gods of Asgard play?
The packaging lists Power Matters and Godlike Gear. The product blurb quoted by Wargamer tells you to build up creatures with power 4 or more and to hold the greatest power at the table. Godlike Gear points to Equipment, which fits Thor and Mjolnir.
That makes Gods of Asgard the big-creature, combat-first deck of the four. The Assault on Asgard Scene Box shares the theme.
Who is the Gods of Asgard commander?
Not revealed yet. Thor is on the box, and several outlets call Thor the commander, but that is a reading of the box art, not a card reveal. MTG Rocks also warned that some early deck details trace back to a Reddit post that may be fake. We will add the commander's full text here when Wizards shows it.

No card from inside the Gods of Asgard deck has been spoiled. Only one spoiled main-set card shares Gods of Asgard's colors so far. Thor is quoted on the set's Plains. Expect far more once green and red previews start.
Penance Stare ({W} Instant, uncommon). Destroys an attacking creature with mana value 3 or less. The flavor is the Spirit of Vengeance.
Card text is from Scryfall MDD card list.

The Gods of Asgard Collector's Edition (surge foil)
Every Darkhold Destiny Commander deck has a Collector's Edition, and its cards are surge foil (ICv2, ComicsBeat). NerdSnack and Draftsim report that all 100 cards in the deck are surge foil and the contents otherwise match the regular deck.
Price is the open question. Amazon US sells all four Collector's Edition decks together for $639.96, and its listing says all 100 cards in each deck are surge foil. No single-deck Collector's Edition listing or official MSRP has been posted. For comparison, Draftsim notes the 2026 Marvel Super Heroes Collector's decks had a $160 MSRP.
If you only want Gods of Asgard in surge foil, wait for a per-deck listing before preordering the four-deck set.
